    164pp illustrated with b/w plates. Very good with good dust wrapper although these are slightly rubbed. Hard to find. The Victoria Memorial, Calcutta [Kolkata] was built between 1906 and 1921. It is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria and is now a museum run by of the Ministry of Culture. Designed by British Architect William Emerson who worked extensively in India. The building combines mogul and renaissance elements. This book includes ground plans and descriptions of the building as well as exhibits within. Ex libris Gavin Stamp with his bookplate.

An early collaborative venture between Gavin Stamp and Colin Amery which identified over one hundred of London's most significant Victorian buildings from St Pancreas Station and Hotel to the Infant Orphan's Asylum in Wanstead. This book provides an explanation in part for the huge collection of London related commentaries of the period that were illustrated with photographic plates and which Gavin Stamp had in his collection.

    Stunning interior view of this ornate Neo-Norman church. Showing its lavish plasterwork decoration, original polychromy and stained glass by William Wailes. Watercolour. 420x610mm possibly by Thomas Atkinson, brother of one of the Architect brothers whose practice was originally that of John Carr of York. Built by a member of the Atkinson family for Lord Hawkes of Scarthingwell Hall in 1854, the church originally functioned as a private chapel. The Hall was demolished in the 1960s (though some of the landscaped grounds survive) and the church now stands alone but adjacent to modern sheltered housing. This water colour is of particular interest as it shows the vibrant original colour scheme, now whitewashed over.

The first Goetheaneum was made by a wide variety of crafts people, visual artists etc. and the focus of design debate. The six lectures here record the principles of Steiner design ideas. The first building constructed in wood burnt down and was replaced in concrete after 1922. With ex libris bookplates of Gavin Stamp.

The book describes and discusses his career with the last part of the book detailing the conservation work he did at Dartington Hall for the Elmhirsts where he was restoring the old buildings alongside pioneering new buildings which were being planned or under construction which employed William Lascaze, Oswald Milne and others.

From 1978 to 1999, British photographer Tom Wood spent almost every Saturday at Great Homer Street market, just outside Liverpool city centre. Now, the photographs are published in this book. Best known for his books All Zones Off Peak, which shows photographs of people on public transport, and Looking For Love, images shot in New Brighton's Chelsea Reach nightclub, this book provides further insights into his documentary work of the same period. Book made to accompany an exhibition held in London in 2018 at the Sion and Moore Gallery.
