She established the Victoria Press in 1860 and this ran until 1864 as a business to provide opportunities for women. he Society for Promoting the Employment of Women (SPEW) was one of the earliest British women's organisations and it was Emily Faithfull's awareness of this which lead to her establishing the Victoria Press. Series of dedication in various manuscript hands on prelims and half title show it passed between family members and friends. Scarce.
