Introductory material, plate list and index, with the plates accompanied by text for each. Frontispiece etching by Stothard, copper-engraved portrait, plate of coffin lid and the 142 listed plates. Coloured frontis opposite 1817 title page. advertisement leaf, second frontis etched by Stothard opposite 1832 title page and copper engraved portrait with ink stain below but image unaffected. 112 +[4]pp index + 144 plates, many hand coloured, thus 146 in total. 2 plates in the index of plates not listed but [present. Occasional library stamps but relatively few. Folio. Recent green cloth binding, a little worn. Internally good copy of this scarce study. Loosely inserted notes on Stothard from Church Monument Society by Richard Knowles undated but helpful on the history of the book.
