A Lasting Moment showcases Marc Riboud's photographs of Leeds in 1954, in which he captured post-war lifye in the city. The photographs were lost and then rediscovered in 2004, on a visit when Riboud returned to Leeds. This copy has some scuff marks on upper boards but a very good copy.

Original quarter orange leather with blue boards, lettering to front cover and spine gilt, all edges gilt. Housed in the publisher's illustrated slipcase. A very good copy.

220x150mm b/w photographs. Three photographs showing the interior layout and exterior of a wartime adaptation of a van for entertainment. Microphone and piano evident in one photographs. Second-hand vans, painted camouflage green, were first used in East London and by the end of 1940 there were 500 vans bringing refreshments to troops, rescue workers and victims of bombing raids.
