Three School Notebooks demonstrating patterns and paper weaving influenced by the Froebel Gift Series. Two lined note books belonging to Ali Roorda (dated 1941 an 1942) and a further one belonging to a Hendrick Firlgz (sic). Labels with names and dates paste down onto verso of blue-purple sugar-paper wrappers. Hand-sewn. 16.6cm x 20cm. Unpaginated. The third book includes a label with a Bookshop name and address - H.Edzes Jr. Groningen. Interesting series of experiments with pattern and colour, using matt and glossy paper, carefully paste down onto each page. These reference the Fourteenth Gift (Paper Weaving) as extolled in Froebel's lessons for Kindergarten children and their teachers.
