Binding slightly rubbed at head and base of spine, else vg. Preliminary report on the design of the Priory Estate, of considerable interest in light of its subsequent history and the proposed demolition and redevelopment of the northern part of the estate. It is especially interesting in retrospect to read the sections on road planning at a time when a future of mass car ownership was still debatable. Fascinating report, containing notable line drawings.

Very significant study by Bony who life long study has been the Romanesque and Gothic Architecture in England and France.

A scholarly although accessible study in excellent condition of the group of 60 churches in Lincolnshire built in the 11th century nearly all of which have distinctive west towers that are the subject of this book.

The committee was made up of Mr Christopher Turner, Cecil Harmsworth, Raymond Unwin and Lawrence Weaver. advising on plans, models, specifications etc and additionally Mr Charles Varndell RIBA to advise on construction methods etc.

B/W frontis, 63pp, 48 b/w photographic illustrations, Cntrasting white and blue boards with lettered titles and gilt roundel of George Jackson (1766-1840) on front board. 4to Weaver's concise account of the work of George Jackson & Sons which began with plasterwork for Robert Adam and was to continue evolving new techniques and skills into the late 20th Century. Very good copy.

Together with 206 pages of illustrations 161 in black-and-white gravure, 8 in colour and 37 of detailed architectural drawings – this is an authoritative study of modern Japanese architecture and the style in which it found it's culminating expression.
