One inch piece of dust-jacket missing from front top edge and some closed tears on upper wrapper. From Jose and Michael Manser's collection with their bookplate on front end paper. Team 10's theoretical framework was disseminated through teaching and publications, had a profound influence on the development of architectural thought. Initially established initially in 1953 at a CIAM meeting, its key participants included the Smithson's, Jacob Bakema, Aldo van Eyck, George Candilis and Giancarlo de Carlo. In this copy loosely inserted is a review ticket from Studio Vista and a copy of the review... which is anonymous but highly critical of the book which makes a fascinating read.

All three were originally published in the 'Architecture in Detail' Series: McCarter, 'Robert, Frank Lloyd Wright: Fallingwater' (1994). Weston, Richard, 'Alvar Aalto: Villa Mairea' (1992). Steele, James, 'Charles and Ray Eames: Eames House' (1994). Each house presented in this volume with photographs and detailed floorplans represents a high point in the œvre of their designers. Both Fallingwater and Villa Mairea were finished before the Second World War and display a luxurious approach to Modernism in contrast to Eames House (1994).
