Very slightly rubbed at head and base of spine and corners else very good copy. Royal 8vo. Fascinating on the design of the buildings written at a time where approaches to the poor and under privileged were being addressed by the new class of professional architects in association with those in local government who were involved in the planning and regulation of housing and cities.

Montreui sur Bois Published by the firm nd c1920

16pp, stapled, 4pp text including covers and 12pp chromolitho plates of the wafers etc including their dimensions. One page shows equipment for sale for ice cream dispensing. The firm patented the ice cream scoop. The Gomez-la Basquaise biscuit factory was operating from about 1900. It ceases its activity in 1980. The biscuit factory specialised in articles for ice cream parlours and gauffreteries. It won a bronze medal in Limoges in 1927 and a gold medal at the colonial exhibition in 1931. Lower wrapper has pencil notes and scribbles, unrelated to content.

(8) pages et 32 planches en heliogravure. Loose leaf portfolio with stylish modernist design and ribbon ties. Cover a little scuffed, otherwise a good copy with bright clean plates. A brief introduction in French by Clouzot is accompanied by single-sided stiff card plates depicting superb art-deco wrought iron-work. A stunning resource for 1930s metalwork and design applied to fixtures and furnishings, interior and exterior.

New expanded edition. xxxi + 166pp. Illustrated frontispiece. Tree calf binding with black gilt lettered spine label. A little rubbed at corner else a good copy. Culturally important poem by this protégé of Marie-Antoinette in which the author extols the virtue of nature as the inspiration for the garden and landscape. First published in 1782. Lovely copy of a much translated poem.

300pp illus with b/w and colour plates. Large 4to. Like new. Fine in dust wrapper. An appraisal of a rather neglected figures in late nineteenth-century design. In evaluating Day's parallel career as an industrial designer and a major writer and critic, the book shows his relationship to other influential design figures of the time and explores his relationships with colleagues including William Morris, Walter Crane, W.A.S. Benson etc.

50 tiny samples of coloured silk in binding. Lovely miniature item. 3 x 5 inches approximately. Nine samples have been clipped so there are corners or small parts missing. 37 have British Standard Colour paper numbers stuck to samples, as issued and so 13 tiny labels have gone astray. Very good. Colours have not faded over time. Despite the little clipping missing, the item is a really nice one showing the range of silks sold by Liberty when selling fabric was part of the major enterprise of the firm.

Vg. With introductory essays by: Dawn Ades, Nigel Coates, J. Christopher Joner, John Thackara. Collection of material for Daniel Weil's 'Light Box' installation. Mechanism of opening box slightly damaged because of poor assembly when made. Hard to find. The box explores the 1980s works of the 1980s. Best known for his deconstructed radio in a clear bag which challenged the idea of audio equipment always being in a black box.
