A single page, likely from another album is loosely inserted into the album. Some comical placing and collaging of elements on some of the pages. The inclusion of a full page image of General Gordon (1833 - 1885) on the first and last page suggests a possible interest with the General, if only in the shared names, Charles Gordon. A very carefully put together album with some interesting socio-historical and artistic references placed alongside various more personal mementos. Shows some signs of its age with pages crockled - in part due to the paste used in the album's creation. A very few of the stuck down elements have torn slightly or are missing and the boards are a little marked and bumped at the corners and top of spine. Nonetheless this is a very good, bright and hugely engaging item.
