    8 original etchings dated in the plate as 1820. Small 4to. Flimsy green morocco binding, gilt lettering on upper board. Sewn. Bookplate of the Library of the Yorkshire Architectural Society on the front paste down. From the collection of George Pace. [Pencil note to this effect]. Worn along spine edge and all edges rubbed. Stitching largely lost. Uncommon. Uncoloured etchings from original drawings by Fowler of figures in the glass together with one of the Tomb of Barwick of Selby. Loosey inserted is a postcard which is a real photograph of the east window form the inside of the Abbey. Yorkshire Archaeological Journal 5 (1877–78): 331–49.

There are five black and white photographs of exhibits with explanatory texts pasted on the verso of each. Each Photograph is 10 x 8 inches. They include an image of the Dwight David Eisenhower cup designed by Sydney Waugh, Bima and the Snake y Raden Basoeki Abdullah, The Valour Cup by John Monteith Gates, Merry Go Round by Sidney Waugh, Counterpoise by Dan Pollard…

Fascinating collection of material which gives insights into the exhibits as well as issues relating to export and sale of pieces at the time. The exhibition was brought to the UK with support from the State Department in co-operation with Steuben Glass

Humphrey Gimson was the nephew of Ernest Gimson.

Loosely inserted in volume one is a sheet of black card with central square cut out to allow each colour to be isolated by the viewer. The charts are known also as the Wilson Colour Charts.

Five compelling and quirky travelogues in which Duncan Fallowell sets out to odd corners of the world in pursuit of some extraordinary and improbable characters some of whom were momentarily famous.

    140pp + 2pp period ads. 195 b/w plates. Small 4to. Very good copy. On modern art pottery - a survey covering major designers including Bernard Leach, Picasso and many others. Text in German. Walter Dexel is one of the outstanding exponents of 1920s Constructivism. In 1918 Walter Dexel became head of exhibitions in Jena, where he organised first exhibitions with Campendonk and later with Bauhaus artists like Moholy-Nagy. From 1928 to 1935 Walter Dexel worked as a lecturer for graphic design at the Magdeburg "Kunstgewerbeschule". He was dismissed from his post in 1935 by the Nazis but after the war continued to work in the arts and gained critical acclaim as an art historian, exhibition maker, theorist.
