Beautiful decorated wrappers. 4to. Very good. The text is a personal critique of the production for which the costumes were designed. Noted on wrappers that it is Part II of a larger publication. Chinese Pottery Mark representing "good luck" on the inside wrapper.

Article spread across pages 776-780 with red crayone markings highlighting certain sections and one or two black ink corrections of dates. Perry and Co were Pen manufacturers in Manchester. Harry James Powell was the grandson of James Powell, founder of James Powell and Sons Glass Company (originally known as Whitefriars Glassworks) and an innovator in glass design.

The examples of glass include glass for the auditorium of a school, Het Lyceum Amsterdam and for the stairwell of the Post Office / Postkantoor Haarlem. Frayed at edges else good. Wendingen was published between 1918 and 1931, in a total of 116 issues. Attractive item. A further issue on Roland Holst's glass was published in 1930.

Profusely illustrated exhibition catalogue, published on the occasion of the 2004 exhibition of Erté's fashion and stage designs spanning the inter-war period held at Robert Sandelson. Loosely inserted prices list. Fold out, depicting Erté's illustrated alphabet made up of human forms (this work was started in 1932 and not fully completed until 1967). Foreword by Stella McCartney, outlines how Erté has influenced her work, thus giving a contemporary angle to this type of Art Deco illustration.

Bookplate of the Library of the Yorkshire Architectural Society on the front paste down. From the collection of George Pace. [Pencil note to this effect]. Worn along spine edge and all edges rubbed. Stitching largely lost. Uncommon. Uncoloured etchings from original drawings by Fowler of figures in the glass together with one of the Tomb of Barwick of Selby.
