There are 50 photographs in the main body of the book in sepia showing scenes from the production by Paul Derval. Also includes period ads. Hard to find.

An impressive attempt to trace the development of specifically English Renaissance design, and to introduce its 'picturesqueness and originality' to a contemporary audience.

J P White are best known for their garden furniture and domestic work so this is an interesting departure from their main area of work. It also gives a list of Hospitals where the company supplied wood doors.
