Beige cloth covered boards with white lettering on spine. Dustwrapper. Ivon Hitchens was born in 1893. He spent many years living and painting in West Sussex, where the English countryside acted as inspiration for much of his work. This comprehensive monograph follows Hitchens artistic development from the 1920s to 1973, when Hitchens was celebrating his eightieth year, with the added benefit of information given by the artist himself to the authors. Dustwrapper chipped and torn in three places else a very good copy.

Vg. With introductory essays by: Dawn Ades, Nigel Coates, J. Christopher Joner, John Thackara. Collection of material for Daniel Weil's 'Light Box' installation. Mechanism of opening box slightly damaged because of poor assembly when made. Hard to find. The box explores the 1980s works of the 1980s. Best known for his deconstructed radio in a clear bag which challenged the idea of audio equipment always being in a black box.

Also in envelope is a print of the Owl and the Pussycat signed in facsimile by the artist. This exhibition was the first retrospective of Peter Blake's work and also included in this book are extensive articles on Peter Blake, the Ruralist movement and 'Durable Expendables'.

A comprehensive overview of the artists life and work, including lists of exhibitions, locations of his work in public collections, bibliography and biography. Introduction by sculptor and Lanyon's contemporary from St Ives, Naum Gabo.

Jasia Reichardt's 1969 exhibition Play Orbit was a literal articulation of Herbert Read's commitment to play, featuring toys and games as works to be considered as art, however within the concept of 'play' arguably lies an assumption of a more direct act of participation. In 1968 she was curator of the landmark Cybernetic Serendipity exhibition, also at the ICA.

Very good, with slight sun mark along top edge of boards. Spans the period from 1976 to Warhol's early death in 1987. Warhol, who had phoned his long-time friend and collaborator, Hackett, every morning since '76, to recount the events of the previous 24 hours left Hackett with over twenty thousand resulting manuscripts of which this book is a selection. An illuminating social document and inside view into the art world and social happenings of the period.

Pictorial wrap around illustrated dust wrapper. The dust wrapper missing in the inner flap and is worn with several closed tears. Chip missing on upper front corner. The book itself is in very good condition.

Unpaginated. 12pp illustrated with b/w plates. This catalogue reviews the work of the first eight Gregory Fellows appointed at Leeds University. They were Reg Butler, Martin Froy, Kenneth Armitage, Terry Frost, Hubert Dalwood, Alan Davie Trevor Bell and Austin Wright. The Gregory Fellows was the brainchild of Mr Eric Craven Gregory who established the fellowships in 1949 to promote contemporary art and sculpture. He was a Yorkshire business man and chair of the art publishing company, Percy Lund, Humphries & Co., Hard to find catalogue. Note in red ink on upper wrapper providing a name and address in neat hand.
