Collated by different authors such as Basil Spence, A.R.A on the Function of the windows, Lawrence Lee, A.R.C.A , and Geoff Clarke, A.R.C.A on their Iconography, and An Appreciation by Basil Taylor. Covers a bit worn from general use and slight crease vertically through the pamphlet, else good. Loose piece of paper slipped in with summaries of six of the 10 great windows created for the nave of the new cathedral and a plan of their intended location. A note from an unknown Charles to John regarding the leaflet (and publication?). From the collection of George G. Pace.

The winning design is described and illustrated and was designed by Messrs B. Lubetkin & Tecton with Ove Arup. Other project also are described and illustrated including work by A P Lloyd, E W Collins and George Smith, (second place). Fascinating publication. Hard to find.

Main theme is Men and the ideas of Modern Ornament and Brutalism with contributions on the latter from Maxwell Fry, Alison and Peter Smithson amongst others.
