Well known British firm for leadwork who exported then established offices in New York, Montreal etc. Catalogue printed at the Kynoch Press, Birmingham England. Photo images illustrate jardinieres, sundials, statuary etc. Photo images also show the use of their products in English gardens with an emphasis on the arts and crafts tradition in the gardens illustrated.

Loosely inserted in volume one is a sheet of black card with central square cut out to allow each colour to be isolated by the viewer. The charts are known also as the Wilson Colour Charts.

He attended St Albans Art School and the Royal College, where he was taught by Edward Bawden and John Nash. During a distinguished career he has written and illustrated many books as well as designing for numerous publishers and organisations including The Royal Mail, London Transport and The National Trust. This is one of a set of three images. Framed.

Contained in cloth-covered slipcase with paste down label; very light shelf wear and one corner slightly bumped, but generally in vg condition. Authoritative study of Jones' largest surviving body of work: the designs for masques and plays produced at the Stuart Court. All the drawings are reproduced, accompanied by the text of the plays they were designed for, plus relevant historical and documentary material. Four introductory essays place Jones' designs within their broader context. No 1149 of 2000 copies. A lovely set of this increasingly hard to come by work.
