Domestic Architecture in the Tudor Style: Selected from Buildings Erected After the Designs and Under the Superintendence of P F Robinson
London, for the author and sold by J Williams, 1837
(2) + 4pp 17 plates. 4to. Green gilt decorated cloth covered boards. Good copy. This book consists of plates of Singleton House, Swansea, which was constructed for J H Vivian. Robinson followed Uvedale Price's principles of picturesque design. He proposed enlargement of this property by adaptation. The frontis illustrates the house from the south west. Other images illustrate both the interior and exterior of the property. Essentially a record of a single building project. Hard to find.
