Margarethen-Höhe bei Essen., Margarethe Krupp-Stiftung für Wohnungsfürsorge. Erbaut von Georg Metzendorf- Text v. A. E. Brinckmann.
Darmstadt, Verlag, Alexander Koch, 1913
Large 4to. White cloth, gilt lettering. Original dust wrapper has been preserved in a modern plastic sleeve which in turn has preserved the binding in exceptional condition. Margarethenhöhe is one of the loveliest examples of the German garden city idea. This area was donated in 1906 by Margarethe Krupp on the occasion of her daughter Bertha's wedding. The estate featured art nouveau and arts and crafts style houses. It was heavily damaged in WWII but has been conserved and is now listed as an historical monument following reconstruction.
