This volume is devoted to the country houses, both built and projected, which were designed by Lutyens throughout his career. An introductory essay by Peter Inskip is followed by sections on 21 individual houses, illustrated with contemporary b/w photographs from Country Life, and more recent colour photography by A. Goulancourt, as well as plans and elevations. Also includes a complete list of buildings and projects.
