Second edition. 152pp illustrated with 6 b/w plates [ six with tissue guards]. With embossed paper covered boards. TItles and spine lettering emboseed with decorative urn motif also on upper board. Very good copy. Boards possibly have been cleaned? Robinson advocates cremation over burial, at a time when cremation was essentially illegal. Robinson was latter to put into practice what he advocated and was instrumental in the founding of Golder's Green Crematorium and designed the gardens there, which replaced the traditional Victorian mourning graveyard with open lawn, flower beds, and woodland gardens.
