Folio. Gilt lettering on upper board with a photo illustration of the building as a paste down. Cream boards, slightly browned else very good. 80pp + c [8]pp. The building is one of only a few German opera houses to survive the bombing of World War II. Between 1982 and 1984, extensive work restored the venue. It has had several name changes, in 1919 to Landestheater, and later the Württembergische Staatstheater. The book describes the two auditoriums that were built – the large and small ones. Lovely item.
