140x220mm single sided broadsheet printed on yellow paper, with sample of woven glass product preserved in archival bag. The new material, was introduced for the manufacture of neckties, scarves, book marks and for trimming hats and dresses etc - Billed as "A New Discovery" The sample of glass fibres is very good. The broadsheet/advert page for it is slightly worn at edges and a little dusty. In 1893, Edward Drummond Libbey exhibited a dress at the World's Colombian Exposition incorporating glass fibres with the diameter and texture of silk fibres.
