Cadbury Bournville's commitment to the education and welfare of its employees and family is fascinating. This book provides papers on the various aspects of education it covered including natural history, arts and crafts, science, physical training for girls, mathematics. The Bournville experiment ran between 1913 - 1946 but this book advocates the wider adoption of the principles. It aimed to offer young employees access to education. The chapters in the book by different contributors basically show the experience of their writers. Given the date of the book it insightful on the range of education for girls.
