The Picturesque: studies in a point of view
London G. P. Putnam 1927
308pp illus with b/w plates. Blue cloth. Edges a little worn and spine very slightly faded else good copy of this hard to find text on The Picturesque. This book was pioneering in the history of taste and which dragged, from relative, obscurity figures like Richard Payne Knight, "a Regency prophet of modernism," together with his contemporaries, and explored the links between painting and landscape design.
