For all connoisseurs, the book is a must, highly sought after for its documentation and very precise classification of burials. There is also a folding map of Père-Lachaise, a history and a general itinerary. The first edition of the guide, by Moiroux, was issued in 1909 and was 128 pages. This edition was one of the later editions, the last of which was published in 1922. The edition of this version is not given but is not the 1922 edition where the imprint date is printed on upper wrapper. Earlier guides to Pere Lachaise were produced from the 1820s onwards.
