Loosely inserted a.l.s from Felix Kelly to Gavin Stamp dated 18th April 1988. Concerns an article written by Gavin Stamp in the architects Journal on the Howard Building, Downing College, Oxford. Felix Kelly designed Henbury Hall for Sebastian De Ferranti, Henbury was based on Palladio's Villa Rotonda. The Architect of choice was Quinlan Terry,who was later removed from the project as his design was not to De Ferranti's taste. In this letter Kelly discusses encountering similar qualities with Terry's plan as were outlined in Gavin Stamp's article on the Howard Building, . The first image to appear in the catalogue '2 Palladian House on the Causeway' has a pen annotation stating 'This is really Henbury'. From the collection of Gavin Stamp.
