This was the first published study on the gothic revival, and although it is widely available in a reprint this is a lovely copy of the original decorated and stamped cloth possibly designed by Eastlake to reflect the gothic subject matter of the book. Sl. rubbed at head and base of spine, scratch on spine and related small tear else a very good copy. Bookplate of William J Newton R S A and his stamp on half title.
