The upper has a striking full page colour image of one of Hamilton's 'Flower-piece' paintings. The Andrex toilet roll that appears in the foreground has been used to display the exhibition title. The reverse has a full list of works and exhibitions + 5 small b/w illustrations for selected pieces. Previously at the Serpentine Gallery, 4 Oct 1975 to 2 Nov 1975, this was Hamilton's first one-man exhibition in England since his touring show organised by the Tate five years before. The series of works Hamilton called 'Flowers and Shit' derived from Andrex advertisements from the 1960s. Hamilton adapted These advertisements into his Soft blue landscape and Soft pink landscape. Continuing with the Andrex theme in a series of paintings based on three postcards of flowers and fruit. To these postcards he added a roll of Andrex on one and a pile of excrement in another. Included with these works was a third series of pastels of sunsets.
