43pp illustrated with tipped in colour and b/w plates. Original white wrappers with grey/green sugar paper dust wrapper over with title on upper wrapper. 250 x 185mm. Documents the work of The London Sand Blast Decorative Glass Works Ltd. Features designs from famous theatres, hotels, restaurants, 66 Portland Place for the RIBA and ocean liners including the HMS Caronia. A little light marking to a few pages. A few small chips to top and bottom of spine of dust jacket and some light fading to back cover. The company was established c1875 and they were manufacturers and processors of constructional glass products, advertising ashtrays, illuminated advertising signs, Advertising glass jugs, Lettering of chemical bottles, edge-lit glass signs, church windows, Door panels etc. The current volume features the work of Villeneuve alongside John Hutton, John Buckland Wright for the Caronia and J W Whipp amongst others. Lovely production where the last few tipped in photographs show cutting and acid embossing. List of projects where the glass was installed given at the end. Whole publication has an art deco feel to it.
