Sulom Voe Photographs
11 undated contact prints each 150x200mm /6 x 8 inches recording Sulom Voe. [The an inlet between North Mainland and Northmavine on Shetland in Scotland] He was a gifted illustrator and photographer and became head of illustration at Staffordshire (North Staffs Polytechnic). These photographs were probably taken in the late 1960s or early 1970. He was a protégé of Bruce Bernard at the Sunday Times, but worked for numerous other London magazines during the 1960s and 70s. Each stamped on verso with copyright of Design Council and with Eric Lockrane's name on verso of each. The images combine landscape views of the area and close ups showing the detritus of the area.
