48pp Long 8vo. Contrasting cloth with title on upper board. Bookplate from "Yews" on front paste down. Colour and sepia lithographic prints. Lightly rubbed on spine and boards a little grubby else good copy. From the collection of James Morton (Sundour Fabrics). The sketchbook was made in 1870-75 depicting natural history subjects. The reproduced printed version of the sketch book was issued in c1883. Randolph Caldecott, born 1846, died in 1886 in Florida after he went there to find sunnier climes to counter his ill health where he was caught out by an exceptional cold snap.
