Artistic Country Buildings 1913-14 by LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY AND RURAL…

The C.G.A. was founded by William Broomhall in 1893 as a society of landowners, land agents, farmers and others interested in the land. He was managing director at the time of publication of this volume which stands alone but was part of a series of publications of the same name. The works department of the association was located at Letchworth Garden City. These whole series of publications were produced to advise members about good architectural design practices and formed part of their range of publications for members on all aspects of estate management. They are particularly interesting as they reveal predilection for the arts and crafts movement designers by Broomhall and his contemporaries. Hard to find.
