Based on a paper related to Cottage Homes, read at the Architectural Association in 1904. Alexander was one of the main designers of the cottages at Bournville. Hard to find. Harvey expresses in his Foreword his view that the book did not do justice to the range of buildings at Bournville, but today it is considered one of the best period surveys of the village with useful plans showing the layout of the cottages and the village itself.
