International League of Antiquarian Booksellers website. This site has recently been redesigned and is a great place to find out about international book fairs, events, other booksellers and of course we are members of this organisation.
Provincial Booksellers Association
The Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association was founded in 1974, with just 20 members, in order to provide provincial bookdealers with a shop window in London by holding a regular book fair. More than a quarter of a century on we have over 550 members and organise around 100 book fairs a year. One of the largest fairs is held in York each Septmeber. I am a member of this organisation and publicity manager for the York National Book Fair.
York Booksellers Association
York Booksellers Association is the local assocation for booksellers selling out of print, rare and antiquarian books in the York and York Area. The site lists all the major book shops within the city and in the surrounding towns. It is useful for planning a trip to bookshops in the area whether you are looking for childrens books, novels, architecture and art titles, maps, prints or indeed any other of the huge range of subjects to be found.
YORK NATIONAL BOOK FAIR
This site is a must for anyone proposing to visit York's most important book fair of the year. At the site you can get an advance look at the highlights which will be for sale at the fair, request tickets and find links to sites where you can book accomodation and travel.
HISTORIC GARDENS FOUNDATION
A useful site for all those who are interested in becoming involved in the care and protection of historic gardens and landscape designs. A not for profit organisation.

The Dictionary of Scottish Architects (DSA) is a database providing biographical information and job lists for all architects known to have worked in Scotland during the period 1840-1940, whether as principals, assistants or apprentices.The resource is searchable by name or location of architect, practice, or building, as well as by client. Architects based in Scotland have their known works fully catalogued; but only the Scottish works of English and Irish architects have been included. Whilst not claiming to be definitive, this is an excpetionally useful resource.
YORK ART WORKERS ASSOCIATION
The York Artworkers is an eclectic association of craftsmen,artists, conservators, academics and others who share a serious interest in the design of buildings, interiors and landscapes. Members represent architectural craftsmanship, other applied arts, fine arts, architecture and conservation. We welcome not only practitioners in these fields but anyone keen to broaden and share their knowledge.
AUSTIN DESMOND FINE ART LIMITED
Austin/Desmond Fine Art specialises in Modern British, Irish and International art. Established in 1979, the gallery has been located in Bloomsbury since 1988.
The gallery deals in paintings, drawings and sculpture by renowned artists including Frank Auerbach, Jean Dubuffet, Dan Flavin, Lucian Freud, Barbara Hepworth, Howard Hodgkin, David Hockney, Henry Moore, Ben Nicholson, Bridget Riley and Cy Twombly.

Antiquarian Books on the Web
This website contains a database of antiquarian books, maps and prints offered by the worlds leading booksellers. All these booksellers are affiliates of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, the ILAB. Its emblem stands for integrity and professionalism in the rare book trade. The code is binding on all ILAB booksellers. It is a mark of the success of this code that disputes are rare. If disputes should arise, the national associations mediate in accordance with the code of ethics devised by the League. We sell some of our books on this site.

Connecting more people to National Trust places through contemporary art and craft. Supported by a partnership with Arts Council England. I like this site because it links the modern with the historic environment encouraging a look at both with fresh eyes.

EDINBURGH BOOK FAIR
The only joint event between the two leading UK bookselling organisations, The Antiquarian Booksellers Association and the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Assocition, takes place annually at Edinburgh. ALWAYS WORTH A VISIT
The Laurence Sterne Trust was established as a registered charity in 1967 in order to promote the writings of Laurence Sterne, the 18th century novelist and vicar of Coxwold. Shandy Hall is where he lived and wrote The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman and A Sentimental Journey Through France and Italy.
The Trust promotes Sterne's work and international reputation through exhibitions, events and public access to the property and its collection. Shandy Hall is situated 15 miles to the north of York in the beautiful surroundings of the North York Moors National Park.
