Illustrated with an illuminated title page and 27 plates of beautifully coloured designs, one for each letter of the alphabet plus one of numbers. Folio. (17 x 11 1/2 inches) Cloth. Original gilt decorated and lettered binding. Slightly rubbed at head and base of spine else vg. Title page rather foxed else very good copy of an uncommon title. Many of the letters were copied from the Victoria Psalter and other of Jones's books, but the great majority here were designed for this publication. Very important source book on lettering .
